Why The Edit?
Planning a trip can be exciting, but also time-consuming, with endless tabs and options. Even for experienced travellers, there’s always that thought: could this be even better?
That’s why I created The Edit. Think of it as an extra step in your planning: access to trusted partners, competitive rates, and honest advice to help make strong plans stronger. My goal? To remove the FOMO from travel planning and stop the endless scrolling.
And this is only the start. I’m building tools to help guide travel planning choices. Take a look at the Travel Quiz for some extra help with trip inspiration.
If the plans for The Edit sound interesting to you, I’d love to hear any feedback and suggestions from you at hello@edit.travel
In the meantime, please sign up to our emails to keep up to date as things develop and follow us on Instagram and in our Journal section as we kick off content for those very soon.
Thanks for your support!

FAQs
What can we book through The Edit?
We arrange flights, hotels, villas, cruises, tours and tickets - as well as complete trips. If something sits outside our direct expertise, we can usually access it through trusted partners.
Are you ATOL protected?
Yes. ATOL protection applies to package holidays where a flight and another major element are purchased together. We will always confirm whether ATOL protection applies to your booking and who provides it (for example JLT Group, Kuoni, Jet2 and so on).
What are the key differences between an independent agent and an online or high street agency?
As an independent agent, we’re not tied to specific suppliers and have flexibility around pricing and recommendations. We’re also not restricted to standard office hours, and you’ll have a single point of contact before, during and after travel.
Can you help if we want to use airline or hotel loyalty points?
Yes. We can advise on how to incorporate loyalty points into your plans and which bookings will earn points. You may book those elements directly if required, while we handle the rest of the trip.
What happens if our flights are changed or disrupted?
If changes happen before travel, we’ll work with you and the airline to arrange an alternative. If disruption occurs during your journey, the airline’s airport team should be your first point of contact, as they can act fastest. We can also support remotely and advise on compensation once you return.
We have arrived at our hotel and we are not happy with the room. What should we do?
Raise this first with the hotel’s on-site team, who can resolve issues most quickly. If it isn’t resolved satisfactorily, let us know and we can also contact the hotel on your behalf.
Do you charge a fee?
There’s no charge for advice or quotes. Trip pricing depends on what you book, but our aim is to always be very competitive.
Isn’t your buying power much smaller than going direct or to bigger agencies?
Not necessarily. As part of the JLT Group, we benefit from group buying power and established industry partnerships. With lower overheads than larger agencies, we’re often able to pass that value on.
We already have a quote - can you match it?
It depends. If you email the details to hello@edit.travel, we can review the quote and advise.
We don’t live in the UK - can we still book with you?
Yes. We work with clients worldwide. Quotes are usually provided in GBP, and travellers are responsible for meeting visa and entry requirements. We can provide guidance and links to help.
Do we need to pay in full up front?
That depends on the trip. Some bookings require full payment, while others allow a deposit. This will always be made clear in your quote.
We have a completely open brief - where do we start?
We’ll narrow things down first. You’ll be asked to use our AI-driven Travel Matchmaker to generate ideas, and we’ll then prepare quotes for a small number of focused options.
Do you complete online check-in for flights?
If there are accessibility concerns or specific questions, we’re happy to help. Otherwise, it’s usually simpler for travellers to complete online check-in and airport formalities themselves.
What forms of payment do you accept?
All major cards accepted, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
