These are the destinations we’re actively recommending right now, because they work particularly well this winter.

Cape Town

Peak season, done properly

January and February are Cape Town at full strength. The city is busy, yes, but that’s exactly why hotel choice, room category, and location matter more than ever.

Our focus this season is on properties that offer separation from the crowds without losing access to the city. The Silo Hotel for travellers who value architecture and privacy, and Ellerman House for those who want space, views, and discretion.

The Edit approach:
Cape Town works best as a combination. A few nights in the city, followed by time in the Winelands, creates balance and avoids the feeling of overdoing one place.

Dubai

Short, sharp, and urban

For clients with limited time who still want sun, Dubai remains one of the most efficient options in winter - but only if you stay in the right area.

We’ve recently booked clients away from sprawling beach resorts and towards DIFC. It’s walkable, dining-led, and feels closer to a compact city break than a resort stay.

Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre — central, design-forward, and with a ‘St. Tropez’ inspired rooftop pool.

Why it works:
Minimal jet lag, excellent winter weather.

Maldives

When the details are right

Despite perception, value in the Maldives can be found. This winter, we’re have been securing fantastic value at SAii Lagoon Maldives.

Why this property:
It’s a short speedboat transfer from Malé, which matters more than most people realise. Less waiting, less faff.
